Plumb Line

 

I just read a great post by a lady named Nancy Campbell about God being our plumb line in life. I can totally see what she is talking about in some around me and in myself. There have been many times that I’ve lost sight of my plumb line and have experienced much pain because of it.

My question is this:

If we have strayed even a degree from the plumb line of God, then how do we really know when  we’ve gotten back on the right track?

Well, a thought/ponder towards an answer of my own question is as follows:

• Others who know you will notice a change in how you respond to situations

• You will feel different than you had when you were off that line, how different I am not exactly sure

Interesting to think about and hopefully to consider the next time you are in limbo on a decision either big or small… Will this effect my plumb line to God?

Time

God wants us to use our time wisely but sometimes it

just doesn’t work out quite like we think that it should…

For example:

 

Do you ever feel as if you are being crushed by your day due to not enough time to get things done?

Ever forget to slow down because you’ve gotten so caught up in the GOT TO DO and then you’re rude to the people who love you the most? Why is that?

Do you ever find yourself getting lost in doing something, the next thing you know it is time to: be at an appointment, pick up someone, start dinner or you fill in the blank…?

Do you ever notice that you can look at the alarm clock and feel agitated  because you have forgotten to set your alarm, not realizing that it is still the middle of the night?

I’ve got more questions but… it’s time for slumber… Know that God’s Timing is Perfect and Peace be with you…

Good Friends

We are getting a chance to visit with our good friend, Laura S., from Africa this weekend. So cool to have another girl in the house and just chat about stuff that doesn’t involve video games, like I hear from our boys all the time.  It is always fun to catch up with her.

A new home (for the blog, anyway)

New blog site for me, same name though. It shall be interesting if I can catch on to this new processing system from blogspot which I was on before. Lots more options and cool features to use here. I feel frustrated and excited all at the same time learning something new.
